There are occasional huge DLC, which you get all of when you buy the game except the newest one. But the combat being a central aspect kinda ruins the rest. But obviously if that doesn't bother people, the rest of the game is very good.

I couldn't care less about the animation canceling itself, it's just the animations, the act of actually swinging your sword has zero impact. This sub's biggest complaint is the combat. There are tons of quests, many of which you encounter just through exploring and not sitting in a quest hub. It's easy to group up and play any content together regardless of level because of scaling. Group content is great, community is friendly, quests are good. The game is built around the "casual" experience, not the players min/maxing their dps. You can use any build you want and there's zero need for animation canceling and be relevant and effective in general content. It is not perfect, but I've played every big MMO on the market, and I'm enjoying my time with ESO a lot. I see people in every zone, even the base game starting zones.įun is subjective.so nobody can tell if you'll have fun or not. The base game has an absurd amount of content in it and you can get it for like $7 on sale. You don't need all the expansions to play. I started playing ESO in the past few months and am having a ton of fun. I would recommend playing and forming your own opinion.
